Geek The word comes from Old German, to name the village idiot. Later it came to mean the "freak show" and now, geek (pronounced gik) comes to mean that person hung in the best sense of the word, information technology and communication, and in particular Internet . Please example, the great Steve Jobs and his empire iMac, iPod, iPhone, etc. The quintessential geek god, come on.
And so, I can label me as a geek? Reflect ... I go out with my iPod, my digital camera, my PSP (in case I get bored), 2 flash drive (just in case), my PDA, mp3 .... and I think it is. Quiet ... Do not think I go with the suitcase carrying all this life ... It is perfectly, meticulously placed inside my bag (and yes, the bag is great that I'm not Mary Poppins ...)
And now I think ... if 10 years ago, was so happy with my portable radio / tape ... why now I get anxiety attacks when I forget my iPod or otherwise, any digital object and / or / or object computer at home? The answer ... I've become a geek!
And that is when I have to swallow 4 hours of train / metro / bus / car and I can not hear music, play online with the rest of the world, being "incommunicado" I feel like killing someone. They may be signs of antisocial ... you know ... how these serial murderers. The only difference between them and me is that they admire them, and me, even to spit at me. And it's true ... a serial murderer, is a revered by millions of strange self-destructive.
